Jerome Adams, MD, MPH
20th Surgeon General of the United States

Dr. Adams served as the 20th U.S. Surgeon General, only the second-ever African American male in that role oversaw one of the largest public health crises and served on the federal government's COVID-19 task force.

Dr. Adams is a fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Adams received his Master’s Degree in Public Health over two decades ago at the University of California at Berkeley, focusing on chronic disease prevention. He worked in local public health at The City of Berkeley’s health department and State public health, where he ran the Indiana State Department of Health during the Ebola, Zika, and HIV crises.
